The Petra Moon hotel is a welcome addition to the rather limited range of accommodation options in Petra. It is ideally located up the slope behind the Moevenpick hotel, meaning not only that guests can walk to the site entrance in about 5 minutes, but also the shops and restaurants of Wadi Musa are easily within walking distance. Rooms in the hotel are cheerfully decorated in a modern style, whilst the lobby and public areas display some local touches. Rooms are clean and equipped with baths and showers, and are of course air conditioned. There is a small pool on the roof terrace, as well as a restaurant for those wanting to eat on-site. All in all, this hotel offers excellent value and services for those not needing the more opulent trappings of a large international hotel.
