Founded in 1966, before the environmental movement really got going, the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature was ahead of its time and has helped preserve the ecological heritage of Jordan. This tour aims to showcase the fruits of their labours, taking you round the best of the beautiful reserves as well as covering some of the other main highlights of the country. Ajloun Forest Reserve is a great way to kick start your ‘Natural Beauty’ tour with various trail walks on offer, each offering up their own spectacular views across the reserve. With Petra speaking for itself, you travel onto the desert which offers some breath-taking views and night sky’s to get lost in. Move onto the biggest reserve in Jordan, the Dana Biosphere Reserve with stretching views across secluded land of which is home to many Bedouin communities. Your nature trail ends in the lowest point on land, the Dead Sea, from where you step into the natural phenomenon of floating un-aided.
