If you like to be active and are looking for some adventure, then Wadi Rum and the nature reserves are the obvious choices, where you can easily burn off all the calories from the endless sweet mint teas! Equally, even Petra offers more adventure than the standard tours would suggest: You can take the twisting Tunnel Siq, clambering down the dried-up river bed into the heart of this majestic site, or even the “Back-door”, which requires a head for heights but will get you from Little Petra to the Monastery before the crowds arrive!
